Chibi, an immensely talented Canadian singer and performer, heads The Birthday Massacre. I’ve seen them perform a few times and she is absolutely stunning on stage. She becomes one with the audience — what a genuine person. They actually changed their name in 2002 from Imagica to The Birthday Massacre because there was another Imagica out there. And then changed one of their songs called, The Birthday Massacre, to just Happy Birthday. Sound complicated? So are their videos. Artsy, weird, but mostly fun. And I don’t understand the bunny rabbit obsession, but I like the purple.
