I first heard Rasputina on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV soundtrack. Don’t laugh – it’s got a great collection of songs. Rasputina’s Transylvanian Concubine is on it as well as songs by Guided by Voices, Nerf Herder (the main theme), and Garbage. I saw them perform a couple of years ago — they’re great entertainers in their punk Victorian style and cellos. Yeah — it gets a little weird, but they’re artists in the true sense of the word.
