“I’m drawn to the quiet expressions that reveal something deeper.”

Biography

I grew up in Lexington, MA and studied Graphic Design at Rochester Institute of Technology in NY. I’ve been working as a graphic designer for the past 35 years, and run a 24 year-old web design agency called Metropolis Creative. I’ve also taught classes at Northeastern University and Bentley University.

Since beginning this work in 2017, I have developed my practice through a combination of continued study and public exhibition. Training with established painters and illustrators has helped refine my approach to portraiture, composition, light, and narrative realism, while participation in juried shows, gallery exhibitions, and public installations has allowed the work to grow in dialogue with a wider audience. Both have been essential in shaping my technique, perspective, and evolving artistic voice.

Art Education

My artistic training has developed through workshops and courses with established painters and illustrators specializing in figurative and narrative realism. Commissions

If you’re interested in a custom piece inspired by my work, I’d be glad to hear from you. I accept a limited number of commissions each year, including portraits and other subjects. Each piece is created using the medium that best suits the subject, from charcoal and pastel to watercolor or oil paint.
