I discovered Bat for Lashes ten years ago — but never knew how much I absolutely loved them until I saw Natasha Khan perform earlier this year at the Sinclair in Harvard Square. Every song she sang was beautiful and moody — and she set the tone herself with quiet little stories about each song. They are definitely one of my favorite shows I’ve ever been to.

What’s a Girl to Do – This was my introduction to Bat for Lashes. It’s a really weird video with a catchy tune.

Close Encounters – She said she was inspired by Stephen Spielberg and was going through a phase where she was obsessed with Alien Abduction at the time.
